The Great Christmas Feast

Posted on February 12, 2022April 11, 2025 by nicole

For Christmas 2021 we booked reservations to The Great Christmas Feast in London – a Charles Dickens dinner. I am a huge fan of Charles Dickens and A Christmas Carol, so even though I didn’t know what to expect I was very excited and looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the night of our scheduled dinner was cancelled due to the covid situation. I was very disappointed.

I waited all year to see if it would be happening again for Christmas 2021. And much to my delight, it was. I instantly booked tickets and began the countdown to our scheduled evening of the great feast.

Shortly before the event we were given the address for the event, which was in a Victorian neighbourhood in London. Once we arrived, we went upstairs to where the dinner and storytelling would take place. The room was traditional decorated in theme for Christmas Eve 1843.

Once everyone was seated, Charles Dickens entered the room, and began telling us his Christmas story. Charles Dickens was known for his dinners and the animated storytelling that he would entertain his guests with. This is exactly how the evening went. It was an amazing one man show with surprising effects that really brought the story to life.

It was an amazing evening and one I hope to enjoy every Christmas.
